Any comic book artists out there interested in doing some Star Wars related work? Well we have a Star Wars story we're looking to translate into a graphic novel. It was originally written to be an animated short but we don't have the means to make that happen right now. For now I'd like to take the story and put it into comic form in order to drum up support and funding for any future film.
I can't reveal too much about the story details but here are the basics...
1) The story links Luke's journey between Empire to Return of the Jedi. Focuses primarily on his Jedi training. I never quite understood how he goes from a Jedi pupil who gets beaten by Vader to a fully realized Jedi between the two film.
2) The story has more comedy and pop culture parody then most star wars content. Think Robot chicken humor.
3) Mace Windu returns from his assumed death in Episode 3.
We need someone with real talent. Someone who can help bring this story to life with a visual style in line with the star wars universe but still unique. You'll be taking direction from the project's lead director. However you'll also have creative freedom to do your own thing.
Right now this is a no paying gig. Just an opportunity to build on your resume and be a part of something really cool. We're passionate about Star Wars and this project. We need someone who can be equally passionate.
