I have traveled overseas since I was 18 years old and have much world and life experience. When I lived in Mexico and Spain, I lived with native families and have a world wide view of family life. I also have an Italian family on my mother's side and have family members living in Italy which I have visited many times during my lifetime, most recently in 2010. I have also guided four student trips to Spain for my middle and high school students. I am, therefore, able to write from various experiences and in various voices. Hello! My name is Emilie. I'm a 19 year old high school graduate who has decided to dedicate her life to the arts. My main focus lies in charcoal and graphite portrait drawing, but I've experimented in painting landscapes, realistic scenes and portraits as well. I'd like to one day become either a children's book author, or professional portrait artist. I am currently studying Small Business at a local college and am currently in the process of joining a local company to create images and logos for their products. In the next few years, I hope to study at an atelier to learn the Classical Realist method of painting. I am extremely reliable and am always on time when assigned to do a commission. I like to work with the customer while I'm creating so they can both see the process and decide whether or not they believe they will be getting their moneys worth.
