I have several years of experience in translation and research . My academic career as a student of Languages and Translation and my professional career as a translator together make me familiar with the technical language and various academic approaches of different fields. I have taken two master degrees, and currently making a PhD in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies. This, in line with my traditional 5-year degree of Languages and Translation from the Egyptian prestigious al-Azhar University makes me fully familiar with research methods and approaches and scholarly discipline of different scholarly areas. My study at al-Azhar University was focused on both Islamic Studies and the English language, particularly different kinds of translation and interpretation: written, oral, at sight, and consecutive translation, as well as simultaneous interpretation. This is shown clearly in my degree transcript that shows I have graduated with “distinction” in all kinds of translation and interpretation. Also, I have written several dissertations and studied in the East and the West: I studied the English language and traditional Islamic studies at al-Azhar University in Egypt, and I have also studied Western approaches and techniques in three of the most prestigious universities in the West. This makes me acquainted with Eastern and Western approaches and techniques and gives me the knowledge necessary to excel in this position. My status as a native speaker of Arabic combined with my detailed study at al-Azhar University particularly give me in depth knowledge of the Arabic Language and sciences and their application in and interaction with different academic disciplines. I am also involved in a vividly dynamic and multicultural academic environment because of my position as a PhD candidate and tutor at the University of Edinburgh. Concerning my professional career, I worked as in-house translator for one year and a half and then as a freelancer. I have undertaken several translation projects in several disciplines that vary from Islamic Studies to Medical Engineering, and have also acted as interpreter in many situations where I was the link between two persons or groups each of whom speaks either Arabic or English. This is further emphasized by my IELTS score of 7.5, which I have obtained about th months ago when I was in the Netherlands. After that, I have moved to the UK and studied my second master and PhD, which surely has far-reaching effect on improving my English Language skills and communication. My social activities and the lessons and sermons I am used to giving in Arabic and English further strengthen my linguistic and communication skills. So, my translation skills, together with research skills and my knowledge of the classical and contemporary scholarship, all combine to make me the candidate you are looking for less

This led to a Lead role, mentoring and managing junior developers as well as architecting new technologies. • One of the first solutions was a document management system. It was built using ASP and COM utilizing the classic Windows DNA 3 tier design with SQL Server 2000. The software captures documents though custom scanning software, email, and by interacting with the company’s fax server. Having access to search, index and share these documents through the web radically improved performance and accuracy of handling prescriptions, bills, invoices, etc. Every developed system has been integrated with this system to provide document management. • Using ASP.Net, VB.Net & C#, I created an interactive web portal for CCP. The portal integrates with Great Plains’ Solomon Financial System, the Goldmine CRM System, our own custom pharmacy quality assurance software and the Crystal Enterprise Suite. The portal offers a central location for staff to monitor all of the company’s workflow, whether it was customer service performance indicators or financial information. This was the focal point of the company’s EAI development. • With Biztalk Server, XML, ASP.Net, VB.Net & C#, I have built a B2B web portal allowing CCP’s business partners to submit and receive information from various different internal systems. The main purpose of this portal was to interpret XML data from outside sources and integrate that information into numerous legacy systems. • I Designed and implemented a custom pharmacy application to control quality assurance of compounded C2 pain management infusion drugs. The software has dramatically increased production as well as increased the quality of process. Using barcode scanning and smart tags the software provides for order entry, workflow processing, allergy and drug interaction as well as quality control. • CCP has a unique J2EE nuclear medicine information system completely designed and developed by myself which provides much of the same abilities as mentioned above for the pain management system. This product is totally web based using JSP, Servlets, XML, XSL, XSLT, & EJB. One of the best features of this product is its capability to store nuclear inventory as well as govern the preparation for nuclear drug prescriptions. • All internally developed systems and customizations utilize SQL Server 2000. Every system has been designed from the data layer taking in account for scalability and performance. I was responsible for all maintenance and data model design. Using SQL Server 2000 I created databases, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers and indexes. AOL Time Warner Tampa, FL Senior Programmer Analyst 9/1999 - 3/2001 • I managed my own projects from design to implementation. • Most projects were for internal staff using VC++, VJ++, VB, & SQL. • I was solely responsible for all J2EE development – which encompassed three large, full scale applications using JSP, Servlets, and EJBs with WebLogic. • I was also the designated developer for all mobile and wireless applications. I built two applications for use on Pocket PCs using VCE & VBE with SQL & XML. The SSI Group, Inc. I'm an anime artist specializing in cute/sexy illustrations of the female figure. I can draw men if needed, but girls are just more fun. I work with both traditional and digital mediums. Each image in my profile will provide details on the method I used. I work with original character ideas; I also enjoying taking photos of real people and using those as inspiration for anime creations. My passion for anime started when I saw an anime show (Blood+) in 2007. With extremely low expectations I sat there on the couch with a smug expression on my face cause there was absolutely nothing else on tv at 1:00am. By the end of that episode I was totally blown away and completely captivated by the beautiful animation and storyline. From that point on I started watching more and more anime (mostly Key/Kyoto Animation Productions) until finally making the decision to start drawing my own anime and to become a manga artist myself :3
