I like to bring this positive...

I am a Research scientist working in bio-medical setting. I have a penchant for writing, i love words. I have found my passion in creative writing, although i write for scientific journals, i have been always accused, by my reviewers who read my first draft, of romanticizing with science. Many of my reviewers and friends have always encouraged me to opt for scientific writing for user friendly and commercial magazines. I admit that i have till now only published in academic journals, but i strongly believe that my articles incorporate scientific acumen blended with social satire and humor that could reach a wide variety of readers. Because of my ethnic background an academic degree in science and my general observatory skills i have an edge over other writers in fiction writing which could appeal to elite or layman of both domestic or international origin.

My background is in teaching and library management, especially in the realms of documentary heritage - manuscripts and archives, photographs, rare books, ephemera. I have maintained a strong imperative to make documentary content accessible online and to undertake collaborative projects with other institutions. Recent manifestations of my project work include digitisation of New Zealand troopship magazines for World War One and institutional annual reports, content for the New Zealand service personnel database named Cenotaph, and arrangement and description of a major private archive. I am now using the range of skills and knowledge developed through this library career to manage archives, edit, proofread, organise data and research. I would be especially interested to assist with research, writing and/or editing family history publications.
