I am a full-charge, certified bookkeeper, providing virtually painless virtual bookkeeping solutions for small businesses. On-line bookkeeping is a new concept for most people. If you only need a part-time bookkeeper for your business and don’t wish to add this position to your staff, outsourcing this part time need is an excellent alternative. My goal is to remove the hassles you face when dealing with the never-ending flow of bookkeeping details by providing a cost effective alternative to maintaining an in-house bookkeeper. I have a degree in Accounting and Business Management (1997); I also have a Masters in Social Work (2006). I am a Certified Bookkeeper, meaning that I've sat for several exams covering all aspects of bookkeeping - the only thing I don't do is end of the year taxes, but I will work closely with your CPA to make sure that everything you need for your accurate tax returns are in order. I am certified to handle the books of companies with up to 100 employees, though I have worked with companies that have over 100 employees. I am a member in good standing of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (www.aipb.org); certification is through AIPB. In addition to my licensure and certifications, I am also insured. I have been a certified QuickBooks user (again, more exams) since 1997, updating my expertise with each new edition - I'm currently certified through the 2012 version, and proficient in both the Mac and all PC editions.

About me: Having always been fascinated by my surroundings and keen to make marks, I have been ceaselessly practising art and design ever since I could hold a crayon. In art and illustration I have always challenged myself and experimented with subject and media. In school and college I attended numerous life drawing classes which I feel had a huge influence on my already substantial interest in the human form. During my own time I have always created narratives in both writing, comic strips and still images, and I enjoy character, creature and landscape design for a wide range of genres. I am currently working on a dark fantasy comic series. Being also a very keen gardener (both at home and professionally for a year at a renowned public gardens), I very much enjoy studying nature, in particular trees and green landscapes. Therefore I think my style (flexible and changeable though it is) reflects the unique organic forms found in living organisms. When not drawing, painting and making the odd 3D model, I enjoy walking and hiking, particularly in native woodland, coast and mountains. I keep a large number of cacti and some unusual pet invertebrates. Though I prefer traditional art, I am skilled in digital media such as Adobe software, and I often create surreal photomontages or manipulations. I take a lot of photographs wherever I go, and have some thoughts of taking this to a professional level, perhaps combining it with my love of horticulture and writing. My creative influences include the films of Hayao Miyazaki and Sylvain Chomet, the illustrations of Edmund Dulac, Jan Pienkowski and Aubrey Beardsley, and the paintings of surrealists and British landscape artists. I also very much enjoy the sculpture of Andy Goldsworthy and Anthony Gormley. I am currently a freelance illustrator for a London-based market research agency, illustrating innovative product concepts for brands such as Wrigley, Nestlé and Lowe's. I am often sent batches of 50-100 written concepts and required to sketch them in a limited time, present them to my client, and then amend or finalise the drawings so they are ready to be used to help demonstrate new product ideas. In previous jobs I have also been required to keep good time, work to high standards and strict deadlines, and maintain excellent communication with many people.
