I'm based in upstate NY but originally from the UK, which gives me the unique standpoint to proofread both US and UK work. I have a variety of experience editing, proofreading and formatting academic and non-academic work. I worked as a research assistant at the University at Buffalo, and have completed a variety of proofreading projects from short personal statements, book chapters, Master's theses, to 500 page doctoral dissertations. My specialty is academic work, although I would be happy to edit non-academic work too! I find this stuff fun and relaxing, partly because it's so much easier to edit someone else's work than to edit one's own. Occasionally I also translate work, poetry or formal writing, mostly from Croatian to English, translating into my native language.
