Jessica has been writing for personal enjoyment since the age of five, and actively blogging and writing independently for the web since 2007. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Social Sciences from Colorado State University and is applying to start work on a Master’s Degree in Digital Publishing through George Washington University in Fall ’12.
Web writing quickly turned from a hobby to a career goal. Through trial and error–and intense determination–Jessica mastered internet specific marketing concepts such as search engine optimization (SEO), proper keyword density and basic HTML. She improved her content until her articles began appearing on Google’s first page of results for their associated key words. (Of course, the Panda update wreaked havoc on many of the older articles).
She has come a long way since those blood-and-sweat beginnings, and now ghost writes for the web on a full-time basis. She has written copy for real estate, title services, community interests, non-profits and on health and technology topics.
