I am new to all of this and am trying to hopefully reach my goal of doing cartoon voices. People alway are telling me I have a gift so I figure why not give it a shot. I am a hard, dedicated, easy to get a long with worker and look at this as a chance to someday make millions of kids laugh on Saturday mornings like so many did for me growing up. I just ask for someone out there to give me a shot and they will not be disappointed!

. This is my Story . Self-taught artist known as Sara . Born in the Island of Principe (PRINCE - Africa). . Because of the civil war in Africa and job difficulties, we came to USA. And a few years later, we went to Brazil 1973 do to my Father's Health (Bone Cancer - caused by his job), had 8 yrs to live. . Coming from a family of Artist and Talent. Watching my older sister Mary, I got inspired and eager to learn how to draw. My other older sister Isabel, knew about my fascination with oil paintings, where during High School, paid for Art class in High School, where I learned how to mix oil, quality and density of the mixtures. Need to stop to financial difficulties, my mom became a single mom, w/ 5 kids. . After, I decided to honor my sister Isabel, borrowing one of the books from Mary, she had a gorgeous, picture of a beautiful sunset of a swamp, did a oil painting of that picture, for my sister Isabel - decided to paint that picture in oil, size more or less 3 ft x 2 ft - where she decided to buy (paid for the classes) from me "Sunset Swamp". After when the painting was done, we had one of the dimmer lights, during the night, Isabel was playing with the lights, and called me. Sara she said look, now is sun rising and now is the sun is setting. Honestly after that I didn't really know how to name the painting. I wish I had the video tape, to tape it, it was magical and felt good to see my sister loving my painting. . Still in High School, one of my friends father, worked in a Cigarette Co.(I believed it was called that time Hollywood located in Rio), there was this contest, in his company, he ask me to design on a poster for him, related to their product, w/ the title - for yearly promotional advertising, between the employees - a few months later, found out, that my drawing won the first place. A few months later I did 2 big oil paintings, one for a Art dealer - He loved a Oriental painting of a scenery of mountains and birds (in watercolor) he had, from a Book of - Historical Oriental Paintings (more or less translated), but he wanted me to paint it, in oil, in my point of view. I remember this one, because, there is a unique story after this. He sold the house & businesses, after. His brother killed himself - due to D (my best friend, he was very special to me, he was there, talking to me, always smiling, didn't want me around when he was using D ). It's very special to me, when he told me - the New owner, of the House & his Store, what he did to the painting. . After High school started working a few retail stores, than, started working at a T-Shirt Co., according to the teacher at CCRI - is called Graphic Designer - over there is called Designer (translated). . Came back to USA, in 1989, for a chance to go back to school, went to CCRI, for life drawing, Graphic Design, unfortunately, need to stop, because, the manager offered me a full time position. . Where I continue to teach myself how to use other mediums and materials, ex: - oil, pencils, colored charcoal, charcoal, watercolors, pastel, etc..... - 1996-1997, donated, paintings, to be auctioned, for DUCKS UNLIMITED, within the area of Attleboro and Bristol County. - 1998 Displayed, my artwork in the the Seekonk Library, after my first child was born - the month she was born. - 2001 - won 2nd & 3rd place in the Attleboro Museum (MA) - flower show - 2002 - won 2nd place in the Attleboro Museum (MA) - flower show. And More......... . There's a lot happened in my life, sometimes I don't know, what should I really write about. One thing, Most of my work, is I been self taught, out of a normal job for a few years. . Can't get a job as a illustrator, opened 2 free lance companies, to do something I love the most. Always correcting my English and myself, making sure I do it correctly. Trying to remember, a lot. I don't like to talk or write about myself, kind of difficult, love to write poems, for myself. Like to write for others, not a public speaker, once my poem was one of the finalists for a scholarship, need to read in public, for the contest, didn't go..... ...... 1st - didn't have money to go, . 2nd afraid to choke. . When my father was alive, he used to say to me, that everybody is born with a lot of gifts, used it for good, and believe in it. It's up to you to pursue it and discover it. Life has a lot of mysteries and we all like robots or computers it's up to you to remember and enhance your skills, it comes naturally. Just make life simple, not complicated or will become a big bowl of dirt, that will crush you. My sister Isabel use to say that to me also. I thank my sister's for everything, especially Isabel. Thank You :D Learning Photoshop program called Adobe Photoshop Elements (that's only thing I could afford) No MAC, just a HP desktop. No Writing / Drawing Pad, just a plain Mouse. There's a lot of my work, not posted yet, still going through..... ____________________________________Thank You, for reading my story.

Two years ago, I was preparing for a couple of the craziest adventures in my life. I was about to get married and ship off for a teaching job in South Korea. The wedding, for me, was no big deal. My best friend and I were simply about to get dressed up and do the sprinkler, shopping cart and running man in front of everyone we knew. Our impending move to Korea, however, was another thing entirely. I was terrified, prematurely homesick and generally losing my mind with worry. Even in the airport, I was fantasizing that some external force (relieving me of all responsibility) would get me out of boarding what felt like my personal Tardis. I may have not wanted to get on that plane, but it’s probably the finest decision I’ve ever made. I learned to work hard and take orders; two things, admittedly, I was not great at before that job. I also learned that if you want something, the best thing you can do is do it. Interested in travel? Buy the ticket. Have a deadline to meet? Start in on it now. That may sound too easy and sometimes it is. But, when Joss Whedon directs the musical version of my life story someday, it is that year and those lessons that the quirky female lead will daydream about and smile as she rides the Max to her awesome writing/editing gig in Portland (with an establishing shot of the Da Tung & Xi'an Bao Bao sculpture, simply because I dig it). Though I studied creative writing in university, I feel like a closeted writer. I blog, sure, and of course I have plans to be the next Steinbeck, but it’s time to roll up my pant legs and wade into the lexicon for a living. I want to create, write and edit. And I want to be around folks who want that, too.

My love for writing has existed since I can remember. I was the odd girl in English class that loved the announcement of a writing assignment! I am a 23 year old college student working on a Radiology degree and hopefully I will be able to go back for the creative writing classes I would love to do! I have written stories, poems, blogs, research papers and am currently in the process of my first book. I have a passion for photography as well. I find it intriguing how a moment of a life can be captured forever in a photo. I am very passionate about my work and have yet to find a subject I could not photograph or write about!
